courses:
1.)
Professional Student
This course is for the student wanting to become a
professional hoof care provider. There are about 300 study hours to
master the theory, 45 hours individual meetings on the computer via a
live link and 45 hours of hands-on instruction, taught either one-on-one
or in very small groups.
You will learn how to
recognize a healthy hoof, trim the same and how to evaluate and trim for
pathologies. You will also become educated in the intricacies of the
equine body, and how lifestyle, owner involvement, nutrition and
trimming determine the rehabilitation length and success.
We provide the
professional student with sound business advice.
This course ends with a
comprehensive exam. Upon successful completion of the exam and all
graduation requirements the students will receive a certification from
Equine Soundness that attests to his/her abilities in barefoot trimming.
Enrollment is possible anytime.
Graduation dates are usually in the late spring, early summer.
Individual graduation is possible in spring or fall.
