Rachael is a
native Texan, born and raised on a family ranch in southwest Texas.
A horse lover from birth, she grew up riding on the ranch and
competing in youth rodeo. Her interest in hoof care increased after
identifying pathologies and becoming frustrated with the options
available for horses with problem hooves. The resulting diligent
search led Rachael to natural hoof care and eventually to a year
long educational course in holistic hoof care from which she
graduated in 2002.
Over the past
few years, she has had the opportunity to trim in several different
areas, observe a variety of hoof conditions and experience trimming
on a wide variety of terrains from the Gulf Coast to Arkansas and
Oklahoma. Her professional focus has been on adding to the initial
education for the benefit of the horses she trims and the students
who seek her advice on a regular basis.
Rachael and
her husband Bret raise Corriente roping cattle, horses and goats
and live in the Houston, TX area.
