Module #1
In this first online
course you will learn everything about hoof anatomy.
There are lectures about every detail of the hoof and special
animations.
To understand the importance of natural bare hoof care, we think it
important to understand what is happening on the inside of the hoof and
how this influences the growth of the hoof capsule.
You will get detailed insight about the correct hoof form, so you may
compare what you have learned to your own horses.
How the hoof functions will give you insight into the genius of the
hoof construction.
With a very detailed lecture about basic trimming you will either be
prepared to enter the practical part of this course series, or you will
at least be able to evaluate the correct work of your hoof care
provider.
The discussion about shoeing will teach you when and why shoes do not
work; and finally we will discuss the problems you may expect when you
take the shoes off your horse. This will ward off any surprises and
prepare you for all eventualities. Minimum study time for this course:
