Carola Adolf is a Naturopathic Equine
Podiatrist (NEP), one of the six qualified “Hufheilpraktiker” in
Australia. She graduated in 2003 through the German "Institut für
Hufgesundheit und Ganzheitliche Pferdebehandlung" and has been
working as professional hoofcare provider and educator ever since.
Besides looking after her own six
horses and often traveling nationwide to attend to horses in need,
she has dedicated a significant part of her practice to the
education of horse owners. Her aim is to help prevent soundness
related problems through better awareness and knowledge and support
modern horse owners in making more educated decisions, questioning
senseless traditions and embracing the principles of nature.
Many of her clients have become
self-sufficient and competent owner-trimmers, some have become
professionals themselves.
Carola has recently become a nominated
mentor for the first nationally recognized accreditation course for
“Equine Hoof Care/Trimming” in Australia.
Through networking and offering
professional development opportunities, as well as mentoring new
students and apprentices of hoof- and healthcare professions, she is
part of a small group of independent qualified hoofcare
professionals in Australia who have extensive practical experience
in the field.
Naturopathic Equine Podiatry is based
on the scientific knowledge of Zoology, Anatomy, Physiology,
Histology which is applied through Naturopathic, Holistic principles
and practical trimming techniques which are applied with extreme
care to fit the individual's needs in his or her living environment.
Carola is also a Bioscan practitioner (biophotonic
treatment) and is currently studying “Equine nutrition” (with
Dr.L.Kellon) as well as Equine Acupressure (with Nancy Zidonis).
